Born in St. Louis, MO, Lee Obsidian moved to San Diego, CA at the age of two. As a child, he became fascinated with video games, comics, manga, and anime—forms of entertainment that nurtured his unbridled imagination and granted him an escape. During his elementary school years, he developed a talent for creative writing, which led to him winning a district-wide contest in which his unique picture book was published. Years later, he assisted one of his teachers with the creation of her children’s book by producing the illustrations. Despite these achievements, he eventually put creative writing aside in favor of other pursuits. Yet the wonders of the hero’s journey compelled him to return to a story he originally crafted in his youth. After a few tweaks and updates, Obake was born. Lee Obsidian lives in San Diego, CA with his family.
